Take Home Bleach-Additional Information
Indications and usage: Take-home tooth whitening gels are indicated for the whitening of teeth. This includes discoloration from aging, foods, beverages, tobacco, fluorosis, trauma, tetracycline, and other medications.
Contraindications: This product is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women. While no known hazard is associated with tooth whitening, no specific clinical studies have been conducted with pregnant or lactating women.
Precautions: Patients should avoid use of tobacco during tray wear. Also, to minimize risk of thermal hypersensitivity, avoid hot or cold beverages for 30 minutes after tray removal.
Adverse Reactions: Prolonged gel contact with soft tissue may cause gingival irritation; this includes inflammation, redness, soreness, or blanching. Occasionally, patients may experience transient thermal hypersensitivity. Normally, discontinuing tray wear or reducing wear time alleviates this.
Active Ingredient: Hydrogen peroxide in a predominant water base.
