Partial Dentures in Hermitage, PA

Full Dentures | Hermitage, PA | Thomas Family DentistryAdult tooth loss is an oral health problem that can have life-altering effects, and we offer tooth replacement options like partial dentures.

Missing teeth change the structure of your mouth and make you look older, which undermines your self-confidence. They also interfere with your ability to eat and chew with ease.

Partial dentures offer improved function and esthetics by replacing teeth that have been lost or damaged beyond repair. Updated partial dentures placed at Thomas Family Dentistry address the signs of aging and return your smile to its former strength and beauty.

Removable Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are artificial teeth worn over your gums to replace lost teeth. Partials placed at Thomas Family Dentistry are fabricated to the exact measurements of your mouth so that they form a comfortable, secure seal with the gums. Even though partial dentures are removable, we do everything possible to make sure they won’t shift or come loose while eating, speaking, or laughing. There are different types of partials: metal-based partials, valplast partials and unilateral partials.

Frequently Asked Questions

full and partial dentures | hermitage pa dentist Daily Care is Vital for Dentures

Complete and partial dentures should be removed daily and cleaned with a brush.  A regular toothbrush works just fine; however, do not use toothpaste. Abrasive elements in toothpaste can scratch your denture causing calculus or tartar deposits to accumulate.  Use Efferdent or a similar product to clean your dentures as needed.   If your dentures are loose or they are creating a sore spot on your gums, try an adhesive. Call us today if you have any more questions about your dentures.
