Implant Dentures in Hermitage, PA

Until recently, there wasn’t a lot of creativity or originality involved in making dentures; they were pretty much "one size fits all." But today, we work with the top dental labs in the area to create implant supported/retained dentures that allow you to eat and speak comfortably. Best of all they help you look great while doing it!

With skill and attention to detail, our doctors carefully customize your new implant supported/retained dentures to enhance the shape of your face, your skin tone, and even the color of your eyes. We encourage you to be part of the process because it helps us learn what’s important to you. Our job isn’t finished until we know you’re completely satisfied with the results.

ALL ON 4

What are all-on-4 dental implants? All-on-4 implants are a permanent set of fabricated teeth set on dental implants surgically placed into your jaw. They look, feel and function like natural teeth. They are the closest replacement option to natural teeth.

All-on-4 dental implants:

  • Are permanent teeth that can be brushed and cleaned like natural teeth
  • Do not have to be taken out
  • Do not need adhesives
  • Are comfortable because they do not press down on your gums
  • Allow you to experience the hot and cold of your food, as well as taste
  • Allow you to bite with increased force, so you can eat all of your favorite foods again
  • Prevent bone deterioration
  • Restore your facial features

How long is the All-on-4 dental implant surgery? The surgery takes approximately 3 hours per arch. We do not do the surgery in our office.

Why don’t I get a permanent set of teeth the day my implants are placed? As with any surgery, you need time to heal. However, you will not leave the oral surgery office without teeth! In most cases, a temporary set of teeth will be placed on your implants. Once the healing process is complete, your permanent teeth will be placed at a follow up visit with us approximately six months after surgery.

How many appointments does it take for permanent set to be fabricated? It normally takes between 6-8 total appointments to have the lab fabricate permanent teeth. These appointments include impressions/intra-oral scans and try-in appointments to get the aesthetics, bite and overall fit correct.

What type of cleaning is required after an implant is place?  Since dental implants should be treated like your natural teeth, daily brushing and flossing is recommended. Our team of specialists and dental hygienists will review oral hygiene instructions with you and recommend the most appropriate daily oral hygiene plan to fit your needs. We recommend having your all-on-4 cleaned every 1-2 years.

Can dental implants fail? Dental implants have a 98% success rate, but as with any complex procedure, complications can arise. Dental implants can fail for a variety of reasons, but the most common- and most preventable- are infection and bone loss.

IMPLANT OVERDENTURES

Implant Overdentures are dentures that are supported by 2-4 implants and have more stability than traditional dentures. These implant dentures can be removed, which makes keeping tissue and implants clean easier for the patient. The implants are fitted with a special mechanism that clicks with the dentures to lock them securely. Call or text our office today to schedule a consultation to discuss replacement options.
